What dental treatments use CEREC?
CEREC CAD/CAM technology can streamline a number of dental treatments and can be done quickly in-house for:
- Dental crowns
- Dental bridges
- Fillings
- Veneers
- Implants
- Dentures
- Inlays and onlays
What is the CEREC process?
- Using an intraoral scanner, one of our professional dentists will take photos of your teeth and mouth to create a digital impression
- The impression is then sent to the CAD/CAM computer where special dentistry software develops the custom design for the digital tooth restoration
- The design is delivered to the on-site milling machine which builds your artificial tooth from ceramic material in less than 30 minutes
- The tooth is then matched to the colour, size, and shape of your existing teeth for a natural look before fitting.
How Long will CEREC Last?
Although CEREC technology speeds up the manufacturing process and turnaround times, restorations will still last the same amount of time as traditional methods because the materials used are no different.
